Group Homes
Preparing you to Live Independently
EARC operates two Group Homes in Edmond, one is men only and the other is a co-ed home. Clients in EARC Group Homes learn independent living skills while still having the assurance of 24 hour care. Six clients live in each Group Home, learning skills such as household chores, meal preparation and money management. In addition, these individuals learn self-administration of medication and basic safety skills, to be able to stay at home unsupervised for short periods of time. All residents are either employed during the day or have “home alone” time. Each group home is staffed by a Habilitation Training Specialist to meet the specific needs of the residents in that home.
While living in a Group Home, clients build valuable friendships with roommates through shared meal time and activities.
